On July 15, 2009 the presentation and discussion on the 7th Russian Economy' Review for 2009, prepared by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in accordance with the Declaration on cooperation between the OECD and the Russian Federation from June 8, 1994, took place in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
The representatives of the OECD delegation headed by Mr. Pier Carlo Padoan, OECD Deputy General Secretary, as well as the representatives of the federal authorities of executive power of the Russian Federation, including the FAS Russia, and scientific societies of the Russian Federation participated in this event.
The Review contains the estimation of factors that influenced the Russian economy during the global crisis and recommendations on the major important directions of the economic policy (fiscal and monetary policy, regulation of the bank system and commodity and service markets), realization of which will contribute to the implementation of more stable model of economic growth.
During the discussion on the Russian Economy' Review the Russian party gave a positive response to those recommendations that were included into this document and noted that part of those recommendations had been already reflected in the legal documents that are under elaboration at present.
