On the 3rd of October, 2009 Mr. Igor Artemiev, the Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS Russia) hold a meeting with Odd Per Brekk, the Permanent Representative of the International Monetary Fund in the Russian Federation.
Mr. Artemiev informed Brekk on the recent amendments introduced into the Russian antimonopoly legislation as well as on changes in the structure of the antimonopoly authority of the Russian Federation that have happened diring recent 5-6 years. In particular, Igor Artemiev informed about the «Second Antimonopoly Package» prepared by the FAS Russia.
The interaction between the FAS Russia and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the Federal Service for Financial Markets of the Russian Federation within the frameworks of the Expert Council for developing competition on the financial markets when considering issues and preparing proposals in the field of competition protection on the financial markets as well as the Commissions for Review of the Cases on Violating the Antimonopoly Legislation attracted the main interest of Mr. Brekk.
